Is ConnectsUs legally compliant?

The templates have been reviewed by employment lawyers for Ontario, Alberta and BC.  

Here's what you need to know: 

  • While aiming to provide a comprehensive HR template toolkit, the developers of ConnectsUs cannot anticipate every client’s individual structure, situation, industry, or jurisdiction. 

  • ConnectsUs HR templates are by definition ‘templates’. This means that they are generic and are not created for a particular business or industry.  

  • Legislated topics are indicated so you know where to be careful.

  • No product (nor your employment lawyer) can guarantee that their work product or advice is ultimately 'compliant'. Compliance is open to interpretation and changing case law. You will also find language on the official government websites advising the reader that the page is not to be taken as legal advice even though they produced the page and language.

  • We expect that templates will be customized differently by each customer and it is your responsibility to ensure that your finished product observes and complies with statutory laws and regulations.
